Our Foundation, Our Mission
The Renascent Foundation was incorporated as a charitable organization in 1983 to enhance funding for the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction at Renascent’s treatment centres for men and women – to ensure that no one needing help would be turned away for lack of funds.
Over the years it became more and more apparent that the families of Renascent’s clients desperately needed support and treatment as well. The Foundation threw its support behind the creation of family and children’s programming, culminating in the opening of the Don and Lillion Wright Family Health Center in 2012.
The Foundation fulfills its mandate through social entrepreneurship, fundraising, the management of Renascent’s fee for service programming, and stewardship of Foundation properties. Our mission is to ensure that treatment for alcoholics, addicts, families and children is effective and accessible to all.
Our annual report, published every year, outlines the year’s achievements for Renascent, recognition of our donors and our financial statements.

Thanks to everyone who sponsored, donated, participated, volunteered and helped us to raise $170,000 at our 22nd Annual Recovery Shot Golf Tournament. This event helps to ensure cost is never a barrier to someone when they reach out for help.
Renascent is proud to be a leader in abstinence based treatment, and privileged to help thousands of individuals and families since 1970.
A special thanks to the committee, Ed, Idalette, Anna, Jamie and Mario and huge thanks to Dan, for your steady hand and encouragement throughout the process.
Stay tuned for our next event – we’re going to be looking for participants in the annual Scotia Bank Marathon.
